Assisted Living The Kings Bridge Difference
![]() |
Realizing that a housing gap existed for those seniors no longer able to live independently, but not requiring 24-hour skilled nursing care, King's Bridge, in 1986, began offering assisted living housing and related services. Today, King's Bridge is a licensed assisted living/personal care provider with 31 one and two bedroom apartments designated for those who need a protective, supportive environment and assistance with everyday living activities. |
The King's Bridge assisted living resident receives help with bathing, dressing, and grooming by trained caregivers who also supervise the administration of medications. Each apartment is equipped with an electronic emergency system, and for additional security, residents have a personal emergency device that is worn around the neck.

in the monthly rental fee are three well-balanced,
nourishing meals a day -- which residents enjoy in a
beautifully appointed dining room -- housekeeping, and a
full laundry service. Additionally, transportation to and from appointments with physicians and dentists is provided upon request. |

With a full calendar of planned activities, including twice weekly exercise classes, assisted living residents have ample opportunity for social interaction. Lunch out, which provides a change of pace and of environment, is a favorite monthly event. In February, to celebrate Mardi Gras, residents delight in beignets and coffee at a local authentic Cajun café.
Assisted living residents participate with independent living residents in numerous activities, including a quarterly women's brunch and a monthly men's breakfast; an informal singing group that meets weekly and performs several times annually; entertainment events; health forums, and much more.
All activities and outings in which assisted living residents participate are carefully planned and supervised, taking into consideration residents' interests and level of mobility.
Because assisted living providers are licensed by the state of Georgia, King's Bridge must meet specific operating requirements, including accepting only persons who are deemed appropriate for an assisted living environment. Basically, regulations describe appropriateness as being ambulatory and able to perceive an emergency situation.
As with its independent residents, King's Bridge strives to provide the best in environment and care for its assisted living residents. And to ensure an atmosphere that's conducive to happy, healthful living.
