Independent Living - The King's Bridge Difference
| People who care make the difference in any situation, and we are no exception. The staff at King's Bridge is genuinely concerned for the safety, welfare and happiness of residents. In fact, we are committed to helping residents enhance their independence, attain their full potential, and enjoy each day to capacity. | ![]() |
For the independent living resident, King's Bridge means freedom, freedom from housekeeping, cooking, lawn/yard and laundry responsibilities. Freedom to enjoy increased leisure time by pursuing new hobbies and old interests, making new friends, traveling, and becoming involved in myriad in-house programs, activities and trips planned by our professional staff. Freedom at King's Bridge is all about having more time for self -- and for others. For doing all those things that were put off during careers and child rearing.
Understanding that good physical, mental and emotional health provide the foundation for carefree, independent living, King's Bridge places a strong emphasis on wellness. The facility maintains an on-site wellness clinic and frequently hosts health-related speakers and programs. Residents are encouraged to increase their physical endurance and flexibility by participating in exercise programs, which are facilitated by our exercise physiologist.
Residents with special needs, like those whose vision is impaired, can remain independent longer by taking advantage of programs designed specifically to teach coping skills and functional proficiency. Additionally, weekly, monthly and seasonal events fill the calendar with exciting opportunities for social interaction.
