This September, King’sBridge Retirement Community proudly joins the global recognition of World Alzheimer’s Month 2025, a campaign spearheaded by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) to educate, advocate, and support individuals and families affected by dementia.
The theme for this year, “Brain Health for All,” is a powerful reminder that cognitive wellness is a lifelong pursuit—and that everyone deserves access to preventive care, early diagnosis, and compassionate support. At King’sBridge, these values are woven into our commitment to holistic, faith-based senior living.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, accounting for 60–80% of all cases. It gradually affects memory, judgment, language, and behavior, often making everyday tasks increasingly difficult. For many families, an Alzheimer’s diagnosis signals a long and emotional journey—one that requires both understanding and strong community support.
Although there is currently no cure, recent advancements in research and caregiving strategies provide hope. Early detection, lifestyle changes, and supportive living environments—like those at King’sBridge—can significantly improve quality of life for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.
There are many meaningful ways to get involved and help raise awareness:
